Wei Lu is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Information Security Center of Excellence (www.ISCX.ca), Faculty of Computer Science, University of New Brunswick. From July 2001 to July 2002, he worked with the Bell Laboratories (Asia & Pacific), Lucent Technologies Inc. as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS-1). From November 2005 to December 2006, he was a Member of Research Staff at the Germany Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. From January 2007 to April 2007, he served in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Victoria, Victoria, Canada, as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. His current research focuses on detecting network anomalies with advanced pattern recognition techniques. His general areas of research interests include computer and network security, artificial intelligence, data mining and machine learning.
